Ukulele Workshop
Ukulele Workshop
Learn and have fun at a Ukulele Workshop (for All Ages), on Tuesday, June 2 from 1:00 to 2:30 pm at the The Sherborn Library, 4 Sanger St. in Sherborn.
Dave Maloof – a teacher, musician, and ukulele enthusiast – will help everyone learn to play ukulele, including various strumming techniques, creating chords (and singing along, if you like), while playing different ukes of various sizes and sounds. He’ll also explain and show ukulele types, history, sizes and tunings. Everyone can use one (or more) of the 30 ukuleles that Dave will bring (and you can bring your own uke, if you have one). Songs at the Uke Workshop will include pop, rock ’n’ roll, Beatles, country, children’s, and more. A printed Ukulele Songs sheet and Uke Info sheet will be provided to take home. This program is supported in part by a grant from the Sherborn Cultural Council, a local agency which is funded by the Mass. Cultural Council, a state agency. For more info: dfmaloof.wixsite.com/musicpluscomedy/ukulele-workshop
