CHALLENGES FACING AMERICAN POLITICS

The 2026 midterm elections will have all members of the House of Representatives and one-third of the Senate up for re-election. Beyond the races themselves, the elections are widely viewed as a referendum on the Trump administration. This discussion will explore how current events are shaping the election, including the state of the two major political parties, key policies and conflicts, voter perceptions, and the record of the Trump administration.

Presenter: David Smailes, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor of Political Science, Law, and Global Studies at Framingham State University. He will present live on Zoom from Ohio.
