Friends of the Council on Aging
The FRIENDS of the Sherborn Council on Aging is a nonprofit organization established in 2008 by the late Peggy Sacuto, an advocate for older adults while she was a resident in Sherborn.
The FRIENDS mission is to assist and support the Sherborn COA with its excellent programs. Additionally, The FRIENDS may fundraise for additional and future needed programs, events, projects, facilities, and support services for Sherborn’s older adults, their families, and caregivers not otherwise supported by the Sherborn COA town budget or governmental appropriations.
One of the long-term goals of the FRIENDS is to support Sherborn’s older adults by helping to raise funds for a permanent location where older residents can congregate, participate in programs and events, exercise, provide emergency shelter, and much more.
We are always looking for new members who are interested in becoming involved with the FRIENDS group. New members are welcome to contact one of our board members or attend a meeting. It is always great to get new people involved with new ideas and suggestions. Contact the COA office for the contact information.
