The Council on Aging has volunteer opportunities available.

There are many ways you could help out an older Sherborn resident. Some are short-term, long-term, and all on your terms!  Here is a sample list of volunteer opportunities!

  • Senior Cafe Volunteers
  • Friendly Visits or Phone Calls
  • Handy Person
  • Technology Help
  • Office Work
  • Snow Shoveling & Yard Work
  • Lend a Hand

Do you have a special talent or hobby you could share with the COA? Would you be willing to teach a class, workshop, play music, host an event? We are looking for guest speakers, hands-on instructors and/or teachers to expand our programs and activities. We will work with you to make sure you are comfortable with the task that is assigned. You can do as much or as little as time allows.

We Are Currently Looking for Tech Coaches

Are you the person everyone goes to for Technology Help?

Are you looking for something to do a few hours a week?

Young or seasoned – we need you. We are looking for volunteers to help others
become confident and comfortable using their tech devices. We will train volunteers to work with residents helping them to get virtually connected. You will be matched with a local resident and assist them with their technology questions.

We are also looking for volunteers to be Zoom assistants. You would sit in on Zoom sessions, and help monitor the chat, and admit participants into the class. This would be on an as needed basis. If interested, please contact Kristina Gallant at 508-651-7858 or [email protected] for more information.
